Dysmenorrhea

An obnoxious topic for my first post for the year 2007. But it’s the only topic I feel like writing about.

The monthly evil that plagues every woman on Planet Earth. Unfair world. Women suffer more than men do. We get pregnant, we have more private parts and worst of all, we have menstruation which eventually leads to the hellacious dysmenorrhea.

Based on Christina Aguilera’s song Can’t Hold Us Down, why is it that if a man has three girls and sexes them off, he’s a man. But if a girl does it, she’s a whore.

I don’t understand why it’s okay
The guy gets the glory and the girl gets named
-Christina Aguilera, Can't Hold Us Down

Off topic but that’s just one of the reasons I despise being a being born with a vagina. Too bad women can’t become eunuchs like men can. After all, I can’t just have my melons chopped off and have an artificially-made manhood attached to my private.

So anyway, I just had my period today and dysmenorrhea took its toll. I normally have painful yet tolerable cramps on my day one but this was just far too much. I couldn’t walk, I was emitting cold sweat, my legs shook with every step, my breathing hardened, had vomiting sensations, my face became paler and had unbearable pain on my abdomen.

I’m glad I was still able to go back home and not attend classes. I’ll just write a creative excuse letter to my professors. After all they should consider dysmenorrhea. It happens naturally.
